Ceiling DecorHave you thought about your ceiling decor lately? I know it’s kind of an odd question, since most of us look up at our ceiling and stare blankly. The problem is that our ceiling decor is usually quite bland. There may be a light, or ceiling fan, maybe even some unsightly popcorn that you want to remove, or stained drop ceiling tiles. Let’s face it, our ceiling decor probably needs a little help.

Luckily I have some ideas that will help spice up your ceiling decor!

Tin Ceiling Medallion

Probably the simplest, smallest ceiling decor that will give you BIG impact, is the tin ceiling medallion. Medallions are usually 4 tiles that are installed in a square pattern to create a centerpiece for your ceiling decor. The center can be cut to accommodate lighting fixtures. The medallion ceiling decor can work alone which makes it the easiest option for installation time and work. …continue reading Ceiling Decor

Tin Ceiling at Tryst Lounge
This tin ceiling at Tryst in the Adams Morgan neighborhood of Washington DC really shows the depth of color you can get with traditional or faux tin ceiling tiles.

By choosing a finish already available, or creating your own with some paint and elbow grease you can have a ceiling that looks vintage without the cost, and that fits your space.

You can get a similar look in your cafe, night club, bar or home with the Queen Anne Tile and Stately Arches Cornice in a Rawhide White finish.

Vintage Antique Tin Ceiling in Toronto CanadaCan you believe this photo? This gorgeous tin ceiling comes from the entrance of a store on Dundas at Keele in Toronto Canada. Combined with the windows and vintage chandelier, this is a store front you would never forget walking into.

You can recreate this look in your store with tin ceiling tiles finished in copper, or even faux tin tiles. With copper tiles the ceiling would age so wonderfully, and it’s a perfect way to accent a smaller entrance without having to break the bank. Even if you didn’t have the architectural feel from the windows, it would be easy to create a vintage look with faux painted walls. I would love this look in a small pub or vintage clothing store.

You can get a similar look with our Copper Knots Faux Tin Tile or the Alfresco Tin Tile.

Headboard – Create a dramatic display in the bedroom by attaching tin tiles to your wall or a panel of wood to act as a headboard. Get really dramatic and take it all the way to the ceiling to make a statement.

Bar – Let’s face it, the backside of bars are usually pretty boring. Liven up your wet bar or even your breakfast bar by installing faux tin tiles on the back. You’ll get a custom look plus hide all the dirty shoe prints that often end up there. …continue reading Creative Ways to Use Tin Ceiling Tiles in Your Decor

Canada Restaurant Tin CeilingThis gorgeous tin ceiling comes from the restaurant Bathurst Manor in North York, Ontario, Canada.

The photographer loved it so much during his dinner that he took out his camera and shared it with everyone on Flickr – and there really is no better compliment for a restaurant ceiling. How many of us have wanted to take a picture of a dirty boring white drop ceiling in a restaurant? Not me, that’s for sure!

That’s the beauty of tin ceilings in bars, restaurants, stores or night clubs, they are so unexpected that they really make a statement. Not only do they protect your ceiling from damage and hide ugly stains with no maintenance cost, they are a great talking feature for your customers!

You can get this look in your restaurant with the Savannah or Edgerton Square tin ceiling tiles, and yes we even ship to Canada!
